Do we still pay attention to the customer?

Post by Bappy10 »

Trendsfactory , “the congress about digital trends” is already three weeks behind us. The words storytelling, gamification, social and authenticity are still buzzing through my head as the trends for 2012. Gitta Bartling gave a good report of the congress for this blog . But what did Frankwatchers tell you about these subjects before? An overview to refresh your memory.

Trend: storytelling
Frankwatcher: Gitta Bartling :

A powerful story attracts attention and adds value to a brand. Useful (we brother cell phone list also know from the book Made to Stick that stories stick – PB)! But storytelling is transmedia these days. It runs through different channels (TV, radio, internet, mobile). A few tips on how to keep storytelling manageable:

Give your audience frameworks and 'hooks': 'Send in a nice photo' will not get much response. Asking them to create an image in the context of your story makes it easier for them.
Tell a story that people understand, because only then can they pass it on.
Nobody has time. So break your story into chunks. A 2-minute video every day is okay, but a 20-minute video will turn people off.
Start puzzling with media and channels. What part of the story do I tell where? How does it all fit together?
