Step 4: Pin and Feature Your New Song
Pinning videos to the top of your profile is a great way to showcase your most popular videos and draw attention to your latest release. You can also pin up to 3 songs to the top of the Music tab. Additionally, you can “star” the top song in the first position to give it priority. (Note that this new label will be visible 14 days before the release and 30 days after.)
To pin a song, follow these steps:
Go to your TikTok account.
Choose the video you want to pin and open it.
Click on the three dots on the right and click “Pin video.”
It's that easy.
Step 5: Direct your fans to the “Add to Music” app
Did you know that your fans can add your music from TikTok directly to their DSP libraries like Apple, Amazon, and Spotify? This is a great way to move those TikTok fans over to your streaming platforms to engage more with your content. TikTok recommends artists post a video explaining how to do this and direct fans to use the feature.
To connect a music app to TikTok, fans should follow these steps:

You can also connect a music app directly from your settings by tapping Music and then Choose App.
Behind-the-scenes content works well across all platforms. Fans (myself included) love seeing the process behind the final product, and posting a video that tells the story of your release is a great way to reach out to your audience. Whether you want to share behind-the-scenes footage of the music video or snippets of your live performance of the song, it’s up to you how far you want to take your fans.
