What is SEO exactly

Post by asimd23 »

My name is David Garcia, author of entuweb.es. Web design company in Murcia and I am delighted to be able to collaborate writing an article for my friends at Guellcom. I think that for any company that does SEO work it is almost essential to have a section explaining what SEO is about. Why? Because if a client doesn't know what SEO is, they will ask you if they have a car dealership and want to appear first on Google with the words "car", "buy car" etc. I would like to be able to say that SEO is so easy that I can do that in a short period of time, but no. So I am going to explain exactly what SEO is. SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION

SEO, or web positioning, is something basic to germany business fax list do after web design. It is a set of techniques used to give greater influence to a word (keyword) within the content, and then give authority to that section and to the web as a whole.
For example, if we have just created a blog and we write specifically about “online marketing” no matter how much we write we will not achieve anything. The content must be of quality (fast page, plenty of content, good bounce rate, etc.) but it must also have authority, which is achieved with external links (backlinks).
Here is an example of how to start with a web page:
1. The web page is created, optimized in terms of URLs, speed, etc.
2. Low competition keywords and many searches/month are searched. The best thing is to start positioning “long tails”, that is, long and easy words to position so that the long one gains authority over time and little by little we position the more difficult ones.
3. Once the keywords have been searched, the sections in our blog are prepared for their optimization. The most advisable thing would be to write a long article about the topic you want to rank, repeating the keyword several times but without going overboard so that we cannot be penalized. If it contains images and some video it would be ideal.
4. We have already carried out the internal optimization, we have carried out the keyword search, and we have prepared the sections to be positioned, now comes the most complicated part. We have to get external links that point to our sections (backlinks). This is perhaps the most dangerous, since not just any link is valid. If we only have links from pages that have nothing to do with ours, it would not be of much use to us and we could even be penalized, links from poor quality sites are not valid, nor is it spam… Google “understands” that we create some links, but always without going overboard. If 100% of the links come from the same IP, we will surely get a penalty, the trick is to vary. A few links in link directories, a few in article directories, a good handful of links in blogs on the same topic, others created by other people, varying between links in .com, .es, .edu sites…
If we have done everything correctly, in about 1 month Google will start ranking our page, if not, we have done something wrong.
And that is all for the article. It is always good to clarify that when someone tells you that they want to appear first in Google when searching for “hello” in 1 week, it is practically impossible…nobody is going to do that for you.
