Here's how to get started creating Instagram Reels:
1. Access Instagram Reels
Tap the “Create New” button at the bottom of the screen. Instagram will open your camera roll and, if this is your first time using this feature, it will ask for permissions to access your camera and microphone. Then, swipe horizontally until you select the Reels option in the bottom menu.

Choose the Reels option from the bottom menu.
Next, you're ready to record. If you choose to upload a video you've already recorded, skip ahead to Step 3.
2. Record your Instagram Reel
Tap or hold the record button at the bottom of the screen to start recording. When you're done, tap the button again or simply release your finger.

Record your footage by tapping and holding the record button.
Right now, you can add a filter to your Reel, change the format, or include trending music.
3. Edit your Instagram Reel
After recording or uploading a pre-recorded video, tap the “Next” button in the bottom right corner. If you need to trim your footage, select “Edit Video,” otherwise, on this screen you can add text, stickers, special effects, voiceovers, and drawings to your video. You can also add an audio track or download your video to share on another platform.

Add audio, stickers and GIFs to your Reels.
When you are done, press the “Next” button.
4. Add a subtitle
On the captions page, you can write a caption to canadaphone accompany your Instagram Reel or even add a poll. You also have the option to change the cover image, which will be the one displayed on your profile and in your Reels tab.

Add your subtitle and choose your settings.
Additionally, from this page you can tag people, add products and set a location.
5. Share your Instagram Reel
Finally, just hit the “Share” button to post your new Reel.
An additional tip is to share your Reel on your Instagram Stories as well to increase engagement. That way, if someone misses your post in their feed or doesn't usually browse Reels, they'll be able to easily find it on your Stories during the 24 hours it'll be available.
