Chugoku Shimbun Co., Ltd. is challenging itself to provide new value while leveraging its existing strengths, and introduced us to their new service, the regional ID platform "Tarupo," which they launched as a business domain to increase their presence in the digital realm, and related initiatives
. "Tarupo" is a platform that provides the advantages of line database various value to both the B2C and B2B realms. For example, in the B2C realm, a single ID allows for a wide range of integration with a variety of services. In the B2B realm, by simply implementing the Tarupo platform, it is possible to build a membership base quickly and cheaply, and to conduct data analysis that combines personal information with data on interests, concerns, behavior, and other factors.

Features of Tarupo
Among the many reasons and technical background for adopting AWS, the following three points were selected:

Scalability and availability: Ensuring flexibility in anticipation of an increase in users and integration with external systems, and guaranteeing continuity of service.
Leverage managed services: Reduce operational costs and enable efficient expansion while ensuring security
Rich ecosystem: A wide variety of services that make external integration easy, a strong user community, and abundant documentation
The system configuration is serverless, reducing the operational burden. In addition, serverless BI Amazon QuickSight and Amazon Redshift Serverless are used for data analysis functions.
"Tarupo" also collects and utilizes a wide range of online and offline data, and is currently working on data collaboration using AWS Clean Rooms, aiming to create new value through collaboration with other companies. The concept of a data clean room, where data from one company and partner companies can be collaborated to gain new insights in a secure environment that does not identify individuals, is considered to match "Tarupo"'s vision. In collaboration with AWS, the company also held a data collaboration workshop in Hiroshima, inviting multiple companies to spread data utilization experiences in the region.
