event: free tricks for better event visibility

Post by nurnobi30 »

Owners of pages regularly use the Facebook event option for their events - conferences, workshops, webinars, mushroom picking... but few of them know what free tricks they can use to further increase the visibility of the upcoming event.

Before revealing free tricks to improve visibility, let's briefly review how to create a Facebook event.

Click on the Events tab (in the old version it is in the Sea category, and in the new version on the left side of the FB page in the Menu category). An interface will open in which you need to write the name of the event, when and where it is held, a description, what category it falls into and that would be basically all.

Tip: Pay special attention to the Event Description – make it clear and iran phone number data enticing. Tell potential visitors what they will get, find out, and learn if they drop everything and come to your event.

After publishing the event, Facebook will push you to boost/promote the event in a few simple steps , but keep in mind that you can do even better advertising of Facebook events through Ads Manager.

Advertising is certainly welcome, but what else can you do to make your event organically visible to users?

1. Place an event banner on your Facebook cover
As soon as you create an event, place a banner on the cover of your Facebook page. A Facebook cover is essentially a showcase where you can put whatever you want, including the event you are organizing.

2. Share and pin Facebook events to the top of your business page
Although Facebook events have a separate page that serves as an invitation to the event, we recommend that you also share the event on your official company Facebook page.

To do this, share a post highlighting the details of your event – including where people can register, when the event is taking place, and why it’s interesting.

Then right-click on the three dots in the top right corner of your Facebook post and select “Pin to top of page”:

3. Post a video status a few days before the Facebook event starts
A few days before the event, reach out to your Page followers with a reminder. Use images, emojis, and other fun, interactive elements to remind your audience of the upcoming event.

A great idea is to ask event participants to record a short video, even on a cell phone, inviting the audience to the event.

4. Use hashtags
Use hashtags related to your event – keywords that describe the event, to ensure the event is shared and viewed on the right channels.

5. Share the Facebook event in Facebook groups
If you've created a Facebook group for your business, showcase your event to an audience that has already shown interest in your brand.

However, be careful: this can backfire, especially if members of the groups you're a part of think you're only sharing content related to your work.

6. Copy the Facebook event link and share it
Place a link to the event in your email signature, and if you use a newsletter, send the announcement and link to the event mailing group.

How to create an event link? On the event page, you'll see a "Share" option (an arrow pointing to the right) - when you click on it, Facebook gives you the option to copy and paste a specific URL link or share it to a page or group:

7. Offer sponsorship on a Facebook event
Ask other companies or influencers to sponsor your event, so they can share your event with their audience too.

This can help you increase the number of people hearing about your event, and it's always good to combine multiple stories into one.

For example, if you organize an event - how to identify edible mushrooms, you can connect with other businesses - restaurants, suppliers of healthy drinks, etc.

Discover how to expand your event and which promotional methods work best for your brand, event, and audience.

And of course, you're always left with ads.

If you've tested any other tricks to improve Facebook event visibility, share them with everyone.
